My summer pairs notebook, June through July, from my own sheets. Before anyone asks: I know a notebook does not move the machine — this is player culture and I love it. What pairs live on your list, and why? Bonus points for the family stories behind them.

Question researched: Do pair frequencies over a short window tell you anything about future Pick 4 draws?

What we found:

Each Pick 4 digit is drawn independently, so every ordered pair has the same chance on every drawing. Over a six-week window it is normal for a few pairs to appear several times and others not at all — that spread is what independent random draws look like, not a signal.

Tracking sheets are a well-loved part of daily-game culture and a fine way to organize play. They do not change what the machine draws.

    Nice sheet. One thing worth saying out loud: over a couple of months, some pair always tops the list just by chance — a flat random draw still produces streaks. It does not mean the pair is special, and it is not a lean for the next draw.
