Scratch-off talk — what's in your wallet this week?

Posted by @jackpotchaser22

Root Post

Scratch talk for August. I set myself a ten-dollar weekly ceiling and I stick to it — it keeps the hobby friendly. This week: one $5 crossword-style ticket and a $2 quick one. Broke even on the crossword. What is in your wallet, and what is your ceiling?

Break-even weeks are the honest average. A posted ceiling is the best system anyone in this thread runs, and I include mine in that.

One $3 ticket with my Saturday coffee, that is my whole routine. Got a free-ticket result last week, which always feels like a holiday.

The crossword ones take me forever and I enjoy every minute. Ceiling here is $5 a week.

I only buy one when the cashier is someone I like. It is a vibe purchase.

Vibe purchase is exactly right. Ten a week here too, and the ceiling holds even when the office pool is on.
