Name change: cASH 3 was renamed PICK 3
The rename completed the PICK daily games family. Older results and archives may still use the previous name. This is a historical rule update, not a current announcement.
Effective
On 1 August 2016 the Florida Lottery renamed CASH 3 to PICK 3, completing its family of PICK daily games. CASH 3 had been on sale since 29 April 1988 and was one of the first Florida draw games.
The game did not change with the name
The rename did not alter the three-digit format or the play types. Front Pair and Back Pair had been added in November 1989 and Combo in March 1992; all of them carried over.
Where the old name still appears
Historical archives, older printed material and some stored data still refer to CASH 3. Results drawn under the previous name are the same game's history and are kept rather than discarded.
