The Powerball format in use now — five main numbers drawn from a pool of 69 and a Powerball drawn from a pool of 26 — took effect with the drawing of October 7, 2015.
Drawings before that date used different main-number and Powerball ranges. LotteryCorner's result-format records model the boundary as an effective date, so a 2014 drawing and a 2016 drawing are each read against their own era's rules rather than against a single current format.
